I’ll admit, I’m usually loyal to my usual coffee spot and didn’t expect much grabbing food at the zoo, but the food was actually good. The coffee tasted fine too, which kind of threw me because I wanted to miss my regular place more than I did. The lines definitely slowed down around lunch, but overall it wasn’t bad at all

We spent the afternoon at the Oregon Zoo with our family and had a really nice time. I’d been there years ago, so it was fun to come back and see what felt familiar and what had changed. There was a good mix of exhibits, and we especially loved the elephants, sea otters, birds, and the little forested areas tucked throughout the zoo. A few spots did feel a bit small or kind of closed off, but overall there was plenty to see and it made for a great family outing

I stopped in and had a easy time finding what I needed. From that visit, it seems like the store is generally laid out well, though the signs could definitely be clearer in a few spots.

The membership ended up paying for itself quickly, which was a nice surprise. I went a couple times and it already felt worth it. The only thing is the parking situation was kind of annoying, but other than that I’m glad I got it

The zoo felt clean, the staff we talked to were friendly, and from what I could tell, the animals seemed well cared for. Personally, I loved the elephant area the most, and the train was a cute little bonus that my kids really enjoyed. The food was definitely on the pricey side, but that’s kind of what I expected at a place like this. Overall, I thought it was worth it, and we’d definitely go back.

The zoo was mostly clean when we went, so I’d say they’re doing a good job. The bathrooms were okay too, not amazing but not bad. A few trash bins were getting full by the afternoon, but that didn’t really bother me since it was busy, so I guess that means they probably clean a lot anyway

We had a good time overall, it’s a nice zoo with plenty to see. Just a heads up for anyone planning a visit: the paths got crowded, especially in the busier areas, and there wasn’t much staff guidance to help keep people moving. I’d recommend going earlier in the day or on a weekday if you want a more relaxed visit.

I had a really nice time here. The habitats looked clean and well maintained, which is something I always notice right away, and the animals seemed calm and comfortable rather than stressed or overcrowded. What stood out to me the most, though, was the keepers. They really looked like they cared about the animals and weren’t just going through the motions. I’m probably a little biased because I’m a sucker for places that focus on conservation, but Oregon Zoo really gave me that feeling. It doesn’t seem like they’re just putting animals on display, they actually appear to be doing meaningful work. I especially liked reading about the condor and turtle programs, which made me feel like my visit was supporting something worthwhile. The website could be a bit easier to navigate in some spots, but overall I left with a really positive impression of what they’re doing.

Got a little turned around with the directions and the staff jumped in to help right away. Lifesaver. It was busy that day, but they were still friendly and patient the whole time. Nice.

The kids really loved the train. It was one of those nice, easy things to do, and the ride itself was chill. Nothing too crazy, just a fun little this-and-that kind of outing.

There were animals out almost everywhere, and it made the whole experience stressful. I kept wondering if anyone was keeping an eye on things. If it’s like this next time, I’ll probably just leave and go somewhere else.

The Oregon Zoo website was easy to use, I got our tickets without any hassle. I did end up finding parking, but it took a while. Not the worst thing ever, just one of those little delays where you’re circling around and starting to wonder if you should’ve left earlier.
